Title Insurance- One of our primary roles in the closing process is to provide title insurance. Title insurance is a policy that insures against unknown claims made to the ownership of property. For a one-time fee paid at closing, we provide the parties to a real estate transaction with assurance that title to the property is valid and enforceable for as long as they have an interest in the property. We back up this assurance with an insurance policy issued by a national underwriter for the full purchase price or loan amount.

Escrow- Escrow refers to the neutral, third party that handles the funds, documents and tasks specific to the closing process, as it has been outlined in the purchase agreement or sales contract. As Escrow Officer, we impartially carry out the written instructions given by the Buyer, Seller and Lender, including final delivery of all items to the proper parties upon the successful completion of escrow.

Closing- We are committed to making the closing process a professional, engaging and memorable one for all parties. During closing, we will execute all legal documents with the Buyer and Seller and transfer title to the Buyer. We will also disburse funds held in escrow as laid out in the Closing Disclosure or HUD-1 Settlement Statement. After closing, we will record all legal documents with the Clerk of Court, forward all closing documents to the Lender and issue title insurance policies.

Angela is a closing attorney and escrow officer with Lalande Title, LLC and is a settlement service provider with Chicago Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.

She has been in the title arena since 2011, spending the majority of that time in the oil and gas industry performing surface and mineral title examinations as well as oil and gas acquisition and divestiture due diligence reviews associated with producing and non-producing oil and gas properties in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Colorado.

Angela looks forward to serving her community in this capacity and aims to provide excellent and engaging personable service in every closing.

Natalie is a Post Closing Specialist with Lalande Title, LLC, where she plays a crucial role as the primary liaison with Buyers, Sellers, Realtors, and Lenders post-closure. Originating from Cecilia, Louisiana, she now calls Lafayette home, where she lives with her husband and son. With a career in the real estate industry since 2016, Natalie is committed to advancing the mission of Lalande Title, LLC. Her goal is to ensure that the closing process is seamless and efficient for everyone involved in a real estate transaction.

Dwayne is a Lafayette, LA native, local business owner and entrepreneur who brings a decade of experience running successful businesses to Lalande Title.

In 2018, he and his wife, Angela C. Lalande, opened the doors to Lalande Title to serve their community with professionalism, integrity and excellent service for all parties involved in a real estate transaction, including home buyers, home sellers, builders, realtors and lenders.

Lauren is a Closing Specialist with Lalande Title, LLC and is the main point of contact with Buyers, Sellers, Realtors and Lenders after an order is opened. Originally from Virginia, Lauren has resided in Louisiana since 2010 and calls Louisiana her Home. She brings almost a decade of real estate experience to Lalande Title, LLC and looks forward to furthering the mission of Lalande Title, LLC in making the closing process as smooth and streamlined for all parties involved in a real estate transaction.
